P&L responsibility for $150M food and pharmaceutical ingredients business covering all of North America with more than 600 people. Focused on the creation and startup of this newly merged company and put it on a growth path running above 5% by the end of 1999. Leading member of the board of directors.
   
Led the merger and integration of Ingredient Technology Corporation and Chr. Hansen North America and concurrently merged the Quest International Color business line into the North American team.
Developed the strategic structure and direction for five business units; integrated 200 Hansen and 400 ITC people into a new process of results management and a budget and long range planning process including SAP.

Created a comprehensive corporate identity and new advertising campaign with strong differentiation.

Consolidated overlapping plant capacity in largest business unit, relocated strategic production units in U.S.,  merged operations in Mexico in new plant and added multi-product expansion in Canada.
Developed and implemented global strategic acquisition criteria, including growth in Europe.
